Greek heavy metal outfit Wardrum has been on the hunt for a new vocalist since Yannis Papadopoulos’ departure in the fall of 2017. Yannis joined Anton Kabanen’s band, Beast in Black, in 2015, but didn’t officially leave Wardrum until their debut album in 2017.
As per their Facebook page, Wardrum has announced their new vocalist: the relatively unknown George Margaritopoulos.
Is Margaritopoulos up to the task? Well, on the one hand, he does have huge shoes to fill; Wardrum is already a phenomenally talented group of musicians, but Papadopoulos’ pipes are legendary. However, based on his debut presentation, he just might make the cut! But, don’t take my word for it. Check him out for yourself!
Not too bad, right? I don’t know about you, but I’m more than eager to hear Wardrum’s new material.
Wardrum is currently working on their fifth album. No date has been confirmed yet. It will be released through Steel Gallery Records
